Giovedì 30 maggio alle ore 18, in via Zanardi 78/b a Bologna, presso la PdB Gallery, inaugura la mostra ART FACTORY. L’esposizione presenterà opere di Luca Lanzi, Simona Ragazzi, Bruno Raspanti e Gianfranco Trucchia, presentate dal collezionista d’arte Marco Franceschini.
Il fil rouge della mostra è il legame speciale, presente o passato, che questi artisti hanno con l’atelier Paese dei Balocchi, una art factory attiva da oltre trent’anni al piano superiore della PdB Gallery, situata in un affascinante edificio di fine Ottocento, a pochi minuti dal centro di Bologna.
Sin dalla sua fondazione nel 1993, l’atelier si è affermato come un vivace centro di scambio e dialogo culturale, dove diverse esperienze professionali si congiungono per collaborare e supportare la creazione di opere d’arte, con un'enfasi particolare sull’eccellenza nella ricerca plastica, specialmente attraverso la scultura in terracotta e ceramica.
La selezione degli artisti in mostra non è casuale, ma profondamente legata all’atelier: Luca Lanzi ha mosso i suoi primi passi artistici all’interno dell’atelier, prima di proseguire la sua formazione all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Bologna e sviluppare una ricerca artistica di successo; Simona Ragazzi, fondatrice del Paese dei Balocchi, è un’artista visiva di fama internazionale, nonché direttore creativo e progettuale dello studio e della PdB Gallery; Bruno Raspanti, figura di spicco nel panorama artistico italiano, è vicino di studio e frequente collaboratore dell’atelier; Gianfranco Trucchia (scomparso nel 1994), artista, fotografo e ceramista, è stato un precursore dei suoi tempi e uno dei padri fondatori del Paese dei Balocchi.
Questa mostra, stimolante e poliedrica, presenta quattro personalità artistiche di indiscutibile valore e offre al pubblico un'esperienza di esplorazione delle profondità dell'animo umano e della sua esistenza, attraverso dipinti, terrecotte, ceramiche e fotografie.
L’esposizione è concepita per essere fruita su tre distinti livelli di lettura: il primo livello invita a contemplare la nascita, la crescita e lo sviluppo della factory Paese dei Balocchi, osservando le opere come un corpus unico e comprendendo l’alto livello di realizzazione artistica, la varietà delle proposte e l’aspetto formativo con la sua ampia gamma di iniziative. Il secondo livello esalta l’unicità di ciascun artista e la profondità del loro valore artistico. Il terzo livello è dedicato alla specifica osservazione delle opere in terracotta o ceramica dei quattro artisti in mostra, opere che alimentano il fil rouge iniziale, creando un percorso che è sempre presente e in continua evoluzione all’interno della Art Factory.

La mostra ART FACTORY rimarrà allestita dal 30 maggio al 13 settembre 2024 e visitabile dal lunedì al venerdì dalle 14 alle 19.30

Thursday, May 30th at 6 p.m., at 78/b Zanardi Street in Bologna, the ART FACTORY exhibition will open its doors at the PdB Gallery. On display will be works by Luca Lanzi, Simona Ragazzi, Bruno Raspanti, and Gianfranco Trucchia, presented by the renowned art collector Marco Franceschini.
The underlying theme of the exhibition is the special connection, whether present or past, that these artists share with the Paese dei Balocchi atelier, an art factory operating for over three decades on the upper floor of the PdB Gallery, housed in a fascinating late 19th-century building just minutes away from downtown Bologna.
Since its establishment in 1993, the atelier has served as a vibrant hub for cultural exchange and dialogue, where diverse professional experiences converge to collaborate and support the creation of artworks, with a particular emphasis on excellence in plastic research, especially through terracotta and ceramic sculpture.
The selection of artists featured in the exhibition is not arbitrary but deeply intertwined with the atelier: Luca Lanzi took his first artistic steps within the atelier, before furthering his education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna and embarking on a successful artistic journey; Simona Ragazzi, the founder of Paese dei Balocchi, is an internationally renowned visual artist, as well as the creative and project director of the studio and PdB Gallery; Bruno Raspanti, a prominent figure in the Italian art scene, is a studio mate and frequent collaborator of the atelier; Gianfranco Trucchia (deceased in 1994), an artist, photographer, and ceramist, was a pioneer of his time and one of the founding fathers of Paese dei Balocchi.
This captivating and multifaceted exhibition presents four indisputably talented artistic personalities and offers the audience an exploration of the depths of the human soul and its existence, through paintings, terracottas, ceramics, and photographs.
The exhibition is designed to be experienced on three distinct levels of interpretation: the first level invites viewers to contemplate the birth, growth, and development of the Paese dei Balocchi factory, observing the works as a unified body and understanding the high level of artistic achievement, the variety of proposals, and the educational aspect with its wide range of initiatives. The second level highlights the uniqueness of each artist and the depth of their artistic value. The third level is dedicated to the specific observation of the terracotta or ceramic works of the four artists featured in the exhibition, works that nourish the initial underlying theme, creating a path that is ever-present and continually evolving within the Art Factory.

The ART FACTORY exhibition will be set up from May 30th to September 13th, 2024, and can be visited from Monday to Friday from 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
